Note from our Founder, Stacy Thomson

In 2022, my journey through a decade of dating app experiences, culminating in solo IVF, prompted the creation of Reddi. Fueled by a two-decade career in mental health, I've witnessed firsthand the profound impact relationships have on our health and well-being. Reddi emerged not merely as a dating app but as a catalyst for transforming our dating culture and reshaping brain chemistry.

What sets Reddi apart? Unlike conventional dating apps, our mission is rooted in disrupting the addictive game of dating, which leaves many feeling fatigued and dissatisfied.   This phenomenon is deeply tied to the brain's pleasure receptor, dopamine, lacking an inhibitor. The more you indulge it, the more it craves—leading to chronic dissatisfaction. It's not just limited to dating apps; it permeates every aspect of our lives, driven by consumerism and profit.

As a mental health practitioner, my concerns about the long-term impact led to Reddi's inception. The unsustainable cycle of heightened dopamine levels is adversely affecting our relationships and future generations.  Reddi aims to break this cycle by advocating for intentional, slow dating—an approach that challenges the prevailing culture of excess.

Joining Reddi means more than entering a dating community; it's a deliberate choice to reclaim control over your relationships and, in turn, transform your life. We are here to educate, guide you through the journey of intentional dating, and empower you to embrace the idea that sometimes, less truly is more.

This may be a challenging shift at first, but we believe it's a crucial step in preventing a future where chronic dissatisfaction prevails.

Together, let's redefine our approach to relationships and foster lasting, meaningful connections.
