Community Code of Conduct

Above all, the REDDI community values courtesy and respect for its members.  

 

The REDDI platform has been designed to save the precious commodity of time by creating open and upfront communication between members . REDDI is an inclusive community, and we do not exclude anyone based on race, ethnicity, colour or creed, sexual preferences or abilities.   

 

The REDDI support team review each and every profile application prior to approval. This provides assurances that you are meeting genuine, authentic, like-minded people. Although we cannot be held responsible for people breaching our rules, we will remove offending parties from our site if they are in breach of our guidelines.

Our Values 

 

1.)    Inclusivity 

 

REDDI is an inclusive community, and we do not exclude anyone based on race, ethnicity, colour or creed, sexual orientation or abilities. We welcome individuals all of whom are looking for a healthy relationship and family.

 

2.)    Privacy and Safety 

 

We value our members’ rights to privacy at all times. Messages should be kept confidential. Only with the permission of the sender should communication be shared with a third party. We do not encourage the members of our community to share personal information or ask for that of others until they are comfortable to do so. 

 

3.)    Honest, Open Communication 

 

The REDDI platform has been designed to save the precious commodity of time and create open, upfront communication about its members’ ideas for the future. Therefore, we value the openness and honesty throughout our community from the very offset. From user names, profile pictures, bio details and message content – we encourage accuracy and transparency in order to ensure that this is maintained and that no time is wasted due to misleading information. 

 

4.)    Courtesy and Respect at All Times 

 

REDDI is an exclusive platform for high calibre, professional individuals where mutual respect is of paramount importance. Abusive language of any kind; depictions of hate, bullying, bigotry or other displays of disrespect will not be tolerated and must be reported immediately. 

 

We reserve the right to refuse applications of any type if we deem a person unsuitable for our members or REDDI ethos and code of conduct. 

 

Here are the guidelines for appropriate behaviour within our REDDI community: 

 

1. Age Restrictions 

 

REDDI does not accept applications from people under the age of 18.  

 

Please be honest about your age, and ensure that your current age is reflected in your chosen profile picture(s). 

 

2. Choice of Username 

 

Please use your first name when registering. Member profiles with usernames containing words considered offensive or inappropriate, or in violation of the law will be denied access to the site. Registering with multiple member accounts is strictly prohibited. 

 

3. Profile Pictures 

 

Your profile should contain a picture of yourself, that is unfiltered and a current true likeness. Please observe the following rules when choosing an appropriate picture: 

 

  • Your picture must be accurate in its depiction of you.  

  • It must include your face – we do not accept photos that are blurry or of poor quality. 

  • No unsolicited pictures. 

  • The use of nude or pornographic pictures, or images deemed to be offensive are strictly prohibited.  

  • Also prohibited is the use of racist or offensive pictures or those of an advertising nature. 

  • All pictures should include you.

3. Your Matchmaking Dating Profile 

 

Please give a realistic impression of yourself. The content in your profile and messages should not create unrealistic expectations that you cannot meet when meeting in-person. Profiles that clearly contain false information will be deleted and your information will not be shared with other members. 

 

4. Message Style and Tone 

 

When looking for a suitable match, your writing style is important. Your expression reveals much about you and will create an important first-impression to potential partners or co-parents. Before pressing ‘send’, take some time to consider the impression your message might leave. Consider the following when sending messages to prospective matches: 

 

  • Take your time when you write to give the best impression of yourself 

  • Make every message you send individual to the recipient 

  • Remember that using offensive or disrespectful language is prohibited 

  • While the internet is anonymous, with REDDI you will speak with real and potential partners. The apparent distance given by the internet does not permit rudeness or otherwise inappropriate messages. Simply treat others how you would like to be treated, and don’t lose control or be inappropriate in conversations with other members. 

 

5. Avoid Misunderstandings 

 

During the first stages of contact, be sensible with humour and sarcasm. Consider how your comments can be interpreted; your partner does not yet fully know you, and misunderstandings can happen in conversations lacking physical interaction. 

 

6. Respectful Interactions Only - No Ghosting 

 

If you have no interest in further contact with another REDDI member, let them know politely and with kindness, maintaining respect and courtesy. A short, honest message allows them to continue their search without a long wait. Time is precious. If you receive such a message, please respect the decision and continue with your search. 

 

7. Protecting Personal Information 

 

Don’t be too quick to share your personal information or ask for that of others. It can be tempting to share more intimate details when a message exchange looks promising, but try to ask yourself whether you would be as open if meeting in person. 

 

Please don’t pressurise other members to provide personal information to you at any time – it is their right to share only the details that they are happy to share, at the time that is right for them. 

 

9. Privacy 

 

Messages should be kept confidential and never shared or screenshot in any way. Our app monitors screen recording or screenshot activity and if you are to be seen violating this section, then your membership with me terminated. 

 

10. Objectionable Content 

 

Violent, racist, politically extremist, sexist, prejudiced, vulgar or otherwise objectionable content, or material that injures, offends, causes or threatens harm to other individuals or groups is not tolerated. This includes but is not limited to: 

 

  • Business messages, political views, advertisements, or propaganda. 

  • Contact information, such as telephone numbers, emails, full names, addresses. 

  • Any information that threatens a member’s anonymity, such as location or descriptions of another member 

  • Abusive language of any kind – remember no sleaze, sexism, racism, homophobia; no vulgar language, depiction of hate, bullying, bigotry or other displays of disrespect. 

  • Anything suggesting illegal behaviour, acts, or descriptions such as drug use, violence, anything related to children in anyway. 

  • Material that exploits young people under the age of 18 years of age. Anything of this nature will be reported with full details to the local authorities as a duty of care by REDDI.   

 

We also reserve the right to report or remove (or both) material that exploit any of our members regardless of age or status.

11. Please Report Inappropriate Use 

 

REDDI protects you by manually approving profiles and using automated processes that eliminate spam and fake profiles. Nevertheless, it is sometimes possible that inappropriate content is not immediately seen, and we appreciate your help in maintaining the quality of the site by notifying us when users do not adhere to these guidelines.  

 

Abuse of the report function may lead to a block being placed on your account. 

 

Consequences for Violations of the REDDI Community Code of Conduct 

 

All content given by members is checked and, if necessary, violations of the aforementioned guidelines are treated accordingly. Breaches of this Code of Conduct or the Terms and Conditions will bring a warning or immediate deletion of the profile at our discretion, and can result in further legal action. 

 

We reserve the right to review our guidelines and Community Code of Conduct at any time. 

 

We reserve the right to refuse applications of any type if we deem the person unsuitable for our members, or if that person is not adhering to guidelines, or acting contrary to the REDDI ethos.
